do you have the xbox 360 S? or the old big original xbox 360? cause the one-time HDD have a special emulator file that lets you play the original 360 games, dont remember if the newer 360s have that file on their HDD

All certified Xbox 360 hard drives have the power to play original Xbox games that are on the supported list, you do require your console to exist connected to live to download an update for the game though. The error yous are getting seems to suggest that you lot either are not continued to live or yous accept a none certified hard drive.

If you take the 4Gb console then you will need to purchase a 18-carat Microsoft certified and I cannot stress how important it is to use the official hard drives to play any Xbox original games.

.I have an 4gb S Xbox  360 with a 250gb hardrive. In the xbox storage settings information technology shows 'Microsoft' against this bulldoze...does this mean it is certified?

how can I tell if the emulator software is on the HDD?

also how do you copy the disc to this HDD with the S version?

Where did y'all purchase the drive? It should be easy enough to tell if the drive is genuine past popping it out of the console and seeing if it has the Microsoft holographic sticker and Microsoft logo on the casing. Although no uncertainty the 3rd party drives probably have these as well. If your original Xbox games aren't working its commonly a good indication that the drive is not official and certified by Microsoft.

I should betoken out that you can't really install original Xbox games to the Xbox 360 hard drive!!!
